With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael K. Gratton of Grand Forks, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 24, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Sharon Gratton (Stegman); and his grandparents, Jean, Albert Stegman, Ernest and Florina Gratton.
He is survived by: his father Ronald Gratton of Milton, ND; his wife Jeanette Gratton of Grand Forks, ND; his children, Aaron Gratton (Lahni Stachler) of Milton, ND and Brittney Balsdon (Ramsey) of Langdon, ND; and his brothers, Chris Gratton (Kari) of Fargo, ND, Tony Gratton (Ashley Livingood) of Leeds, ND and Steve Gratton (Amy) of Devils Lake, ND. He is also survived by many in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church (715 24th Ave S, Grand Forks, ND 58201). A prayer was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
