He was predeceased by: his parents, Wellington Thompson Jr. and Alice Robillard; his wife Faye Thompson (Jerome); his siblings, Janice, Shirley, Florence, Iva, Vione, Doris, Gera and Willard; and his grandchild Lindzy Thompson.

He is survived by: his nephew Jamie Thompson; his children, Robert Thompson, Ronnie Thompson, Mark Thompson, Alan Thompson, Pat Thompson (Denise), Bonnie Anderson (Brad), Rachel Heinzen (Ken) and Tammy Thompson; and his siblings, Clara Skjordal (Denis), Mabel Dahl (Don), Arnold Thompson (Doreen), Betty Goodrie, Diann Denault (Gerald) and Gary Thompson (Lee). He is also survived by many grand-children and great grand-children.
