He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Pape Sr. and Louella Pape (Laidley); his stepmothers, Clara Pape and Henrietta Pape; his siblings, Rodney Pape and Marjorie Gowan; his grandsons, Riley Pape and Ryan Pape; and his son-in-law Michael Ferguson.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Pape of Grand Forks; his children, Candice Ferguson of Grand Forks, Rodger Pape of West Fargo and Ronald Pape (Sharleen); his grandchildren, Ross, Adam and Sara; his sister Dorothy Danielson; and his half-sister Carol Johnson. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
