He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anders Syvertsen and Esther Syvertsen (Erickson); his wife Florence Bakke; his children, Keith Syvertsen (Teresa), Kathy Foss (Steven), Julie Soekoro (Wira) and Craig Syvertsen (Maria); his grandchildren, Kurtis Syvertsen (Jillian), Kristen Hyland (Alex), Kayla Martin (Bill), Kimberly O'Brien (Daniel), Jacob Freeman (Jennifer), Jennifer Freeman, Mischa Soekoro, Angelica Soekoro, Viviana Syvertsen and Maria Syvertsen; his great grandchildren, Lucy Syvertsen, Jasmine Mize, Ebba Martin, Jacqueline O'Brien, Morgan O'Brien, Weston O'Brien and Afton Gowan; his sister Kay Skaar (Chris); and his siblings-in-law, Fran Bakke and Jerome Bakke.
