She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Ida Peterson Dolmseth and Leonard Conard Dolmseth; and her husbands, James David Thorsen and Benny Akers. She is survived by: her sons, James Jr. (Mary), Randall Scott, Gregory Paul, Randy and Greg (Tammie); her stepdaughter Sandy Rosendale; her grandchildren, Tyler, Katie Spader (Britton), Cassondra, Nicholas, Megan, Hannah and Haley Chartrand (Danys); her great grandchildren, Knox, Easton, Cain, Gemma and Veda; and her siblings, Gayle Miller, Dick Dolmseth (Janette), Cindy Chester and Dan Dolmseth (Joyce).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Valley Senior Living Foundation Grand Forks.
