He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Hay and Laura Hay; his sister Donna Gramlow; and his son Timothy Hay. He is survived by: his wife Marlys Turnbom; his sons, Jonathan Hay (Hoa Tran) and Steven Hay (Ali Jung); and his siblings, Tony Hay (Jean), Betty Kannas (John), Clifford Hay (Sylvia), Pat Hay (Kathy), Lauretta Stutsman, Linda Cypcar (Dave), Alice Oban, David Hay, Kathy Gentz, Sue Brown (Todd) and Rick Hay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (2933 171 R Ave. SE, Harwood, ND 58042). A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
