She is survived by: her husband John Vaagene; her children, Peter Verke (Jennifer) of Hatton, ND, Leah Verke of Grand Forks, ND and John; her grandchildren, Karissa Jerome (Spencer Huus), Zahra Hanson (Jason), Travis Vigen, Emily Vaagene, Lucas Vaagene, Logan Vaagene, Sasha Loock (Dennis) and Paige Menze; her great grandchildren, Keegan, Blakely, Barrett Hanson, Harper, Madelynn, Elliott Huus, Tyler and Will Loock; her sister Loretta Larson of Mayville, ND; her siblings-in-law, Gary Vaagene (Deb) of Hatton, ND and Rita Bristlin (Bob) of Detroit Lake; Brad Vaagene (Sara) of Hatton, ND, Denise Vaagene of Portland, ND and Ronda Menze (Rich) of Oxbow, ND..
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel (950 Dakota Ave, Hatton, ND 58240). A prayer was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St John Lutheran Church (420 7th St, Hatton, ND 58240).
