It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mardelle Naastad Tollefson (Hatton, North Dakota), who passed away on December 11, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Melvin O. Bjerke and Welhelmine Meldahl Bjerke (Mina); her siblings, Kenneth, Orvis, James, Ronald and Jean Pederson; and her grandson Andrew Naastad.

She is survived by : her former life partner Marcus K. Naastad; her children, Meredith Byron (Eugene) of Grand Forks, Elizabeth Hanson (David) of Grafton, Mark (Sherida) of Grand Forks, John (JoAnn), Peter (Karen) of Hatton and David of Grand Forks; her husband Donald Tollefson; and her sister Dorothy Skjoiten. She is also survived by her six children, 15 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Bethany Cemetery or Hatton Prairie Village.
