She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie Rathjen and Clarence Rathjen (Hazen); and her parents-in-law, Catherine and Wesley Cole. She is survived by: her husband John Cole of Paul's Lutheran Church; her daughters, Shelly Galster (Richard) of Fargo, ND and Shawna Cole (Jamie Gibbins) of Bismarck, ND; her grandchildren, Mckenzie Hill (Taylor) of Fargo, ND, Alyssa Suzuki (Yuji) of Beaverton, OR, Cole J. Cole of Bismarck, ND and Willow Eckroth of Bismarck, ND; her great grandchildren, Harlow and Hadley Hill of Fargo, ND; her brothers, Myron Rathjen (Laurel) of Beulah, Melvin Rathjen (Tena) of Hazen, Maynard Rathjen (Val) of Hazen, Mark (Wendy) of Hazen and Mylo of Hazen; and her siblings-in-law, Sharon Snustad, Diane Young, Dennis Cole (Marsha) and Donald Cole (Susie). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to Sakakawea Hospice.
