He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herb Sandgren and Marjorie Sandgren (Hobaugh); his wife Lucy Beld; his children, Terry Sandgren (Stacy), Tanya Sandgren and Tracy Sandgren; his grandchildren, Zach, Kevin Sandgren (Paige), Hannah, Tugger Sandgren, KaLee, Brayden, Devin Mitchell, Brock Rhoads and Allie McGinnis; his great grandchildren, Lincoln and Luna; his brother John (Sharon); his sister-in-law Evy; his daughter-in-law Melissa; and his siblings, Bud (Thelma), David (Elaine), Paul, George, Phyllis and Shirley Weaver (Albert). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A prayer was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Assembly of God Church (106 3rd St N, Hettinger, ND 58639). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
