She was predeceased by : her father Wayne Smolnikar; her grandparents, Joe Schmidt, Dorothy, George Sweeney, Frank and Lulu Smolnikar; her uncles, Pete Krebs, James Netzler, Dennis Schmidt and Wes Smolnikar; and her cousins, Anthony Netzler and Joe Odell.

She is survived by : her mother Shirley Smolnikar (Schmidt) of Hettinger, ND; her aunts, Barb Krebs, Virginia Netzler, Marcy Schmidt, Carole Smolnikar and Cheryl Schmidt; and her uncle Mark.

In lieu of flowers a Memorial has been established by her family.
