She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Brayton and Mildred Brayton (Seebart); her husband Morris Martin Melander; and her son-in-law Kent Lorenz. She is survived by: her children, Pamela Hanson (Paul), East, Mary Lorenz of Grand Forks, ND, Lesly Havelange (Dion) and Matthew Melander (Lisa) of Hunter, ND; her grandchildren, Daniel (Joni), Scott (Sable), Mark, Luke Hanson, Andrea (Jeff), Craig Lorenz (Shalee), Michael Havelange (Amanda) and Amy Grayson (Mike); her great grandchildren, Lexi, Michael, Corbin, Collins, Malik, Seek, Hank, Story and Cash; and her sister Pauline Fuglestad (Roald) of Park Rapids, MN. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Agnes Catholic Church (102 1st St E, Hunter, ND 58048). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
The family wishes any memorials be given to St. Agnes Catholic Church or a charity of their choice. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Kathleen M. Melander 's name.
