He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Cawley and Meredith Cawley (Graber); his former wife Debra Cawley (Swenson); and his brother-in-law David Sandmann. He is survived by: his friend Sharon Hensey (Bakke); his wife Sharon of Inkster, ND; his children, John Cawley (Sara DeWaay) of Fort Collins, CO, Kari Owiredu (Sam) of Corpus Christi, TX, Lori Miller (Bryan) of Jamestown, ND and Erin Jore (Adam) of Erskine, MN; his stepdaughter Jamie Larson (Kelly) of Fargo, ND; his grandchildren, Owen, Margaret Cawley, Syesha, Sarita, Kingston Owiredu, Addilynn, Henrik, Monte Miller, Krosby, Joanna, Boden Jore, Ethan and Gwen Smith; his sister Linda Sandmann of Lindstrom, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Randy Swenson (Jeani) of Cook, MN, Cindy Milkey (Mike) of Minot, ND and Randy Bakke (Correen) of Marshall, MN.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
