He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Eckart and Louise Eckart (Jarosch); his daughter Rose; his siblings, Bonnie, Vernice and Larry; and his stepsons, Blaine and Shane Ford.
He is survived by: his sons, Barry (Sharon) and Lowell (Sharon); his wife Betty; his children, Jennifer Schumacher (Mark), Sonja Fettig (Jim) and Larry Ford (Kim) of Jamestown; and his siblings, Allan, Robert (Gloria), Steve Eckart (Kathy), Joyce Bentz, Marlene Wixon, Carol Martin (Fred), Marge Wagenaar (John), Kathy Grossman and Judy Eckart.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Haut Funeral Home (1101 5th Ave NE, Jamestown, ND 58401). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at the Highland Home Cemetery (3309 US-281, Jamestown, ND 58401).
