He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Setnes and Alice Setnes (Bjerke); his siblings, Lorraine Van Treeck and Keith Setnes; and his brother-in-law Dean Petska.
He is survived by: his siblings, Rodney Setnes (Janet) of Florence, AZ, Betty Petska and Dale Setnes of Devils Lake, ND; and his brother-in-law Bill Van Treeck of Littleton, CO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery (12496 Co Rd 11, Park River, ND 58270).
