He is survived by: his spouse Robin Thornton; his close friend Karen Widmer; his siblings, Shirley Cotton (Dave), Joyce Randall (Butch) and David Gumke; his children, Nick Thornton (Jennifer), Nichole Greenstein, Nathan Thornton and Eathan Gumke; Joanne Dieterle. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
