He is survived by: his wife Burnette J. Buerkle of Jamestown, ND; his children, Bruce Schlenker (Paola Andrea) of Jud, ND, Stephen Schlenker (Norma Nicholes) of Jud, ND, Shelan Foster (Jef) of Scottsdale, AZ and Sherry Nitschke (Kirby Wolf) of Jud, ND; his grandchildren, Desire' Harrod (Heath) of Maumelle, AR, Kaleb Olstad of Scottsdale, AZ, Jordan Nitschke (Madison) of Jud, ND, Lucas Nitschke (Sydney) of Jud, ND, Ashley Schlenker of Orlando, FL, Daniel Watson, Maria Machado of Las Vegas, NV and Sebastian Machado of Orlando, FL; his great grandchildren, Savannah, Nathan, Judah, Wyatt Harrod of Maumelle, AR, Trig and Hattie Nitschke of Jud, ND; and his sister Norma Pruitt of Jasper, AR. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Haut Funeral Home - Jamestown (1101 5th Ave NE, Jamestown, ND 58401). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Church of God.
