He was predeceased by: his grandson Carter. He is survived by: his wife Diane Kary; his daughter Suzy Whitt (Michael); his granddaughters, Zoe and Sadie; his son Brian Kary (Beth); his grandchildren, Emelia and Jakob; and his sisters, Janice Miller (Don), Sharon Nelson, Doreen Strom (Glenn), Shirley Ortman (Jim) and Diane Fischer (Tom). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
