It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Duane Aamot of Lakota, North Dakota, who passed away on May 8, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alf Aamot and Ella Aamot (Akset); his wife Avis Sateren; his son Larry; and his sister Eleanor McMillin (Ray).
He is survived by: his sons, Daryl of Bayfield, CO, Keith (Maxine Lammers) of Wahpeton, ND, Kent of Grand Forks, ND, Kevin (Connie) of Breckenridge, MN and Curtis (Kathy); his grandchildren, Jeff Aamot (Brianna), Shelby Aamot, Sara Aamot, Tyler Erdmann, Chris Erdmann (Amy) and Nick Erdmann; his great grandchildren, Rush, Chesney, Oaklyn, Ryder, Brynlee and Hailey; and his nephews, Randy, Gary and Duane McMillin.
