He was predeceased by : his parents, Melvin Roy and Barbara Roy (Lepine); his father-in-law Wally Morrison; his brother-in-law Randy Humphreys; his niece Sara; and his nephew Cody.

He is survived by : his wife Mary Kay of Langdon; his daughter Jennifer Busse (Mark) of Langdon; his grandchildren, Maddux, Stella and Beau Busse; his sister Lorna Hemmes (Marshal) of Humboldt, MN; his parents-in-law, LaVonne Morrison, Alice (Lloyd), Wayne (Cathy), Judy (John) and Barb; and his nieces and nephews, Rachel Hellyer (Goerge), David Hemmes (Tiffany), Heather Mallett (Michael), Mike, Jason, Chris, Amy, Marcus, Danny, Brian and Brent.

Masks and social distancing are required.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Langdon Area Hockey Boosters, Langdon Sports Boosters, or Cavalier County Cancer Crusaders.

“To the family of Danny Roy: we would like to express our deepest sympathy in the loss of Danny; We have been out-of-state for the winter and just heard about this today (3/30/). We had multiple dealings with Danny in the past and felt we were always treated honestly and fairly. He was always available to talk to if there was an issue/question with one of the vehicles and we considered him a friend. He will be missed. Allen and Jeanne McGuire, Bottineau, ND”
