He is survived by: his daughter Leah Hamann (Myra); his sisters, Joan Brekke of Edmore, ND and Inez Rath (Leonard) of Fargo, ND; and his nieces and nephews, Candice Dietz (Larry) of Fargo, ND, Patricia Kilber (Keith) of Fargo, ND, Marlene Ridl (Rocky) of West Fargo, ND, Jayne Olsgaard (Dan) of Bismarck, ND, Paula Hanlon (Mike) of West Fargo, ND, Linda Erickson (Edwin) of Milnor, ND, Diane Fradet (Steve) of West Fargo, ND, Kim Seamands (Scott) of West Fargo, ND, Laurie Gress (Dave) of Fargo, ND, Lisa Hagel (Melissa) of Fargo, ND, Roger Lothspeich (Peg) of Hathaway, Mark Brekke (Cathy) of Bottineau, ND, Jay Hamann (Anita) of Ollala, WA and Dave Hilfer (Shannon) of Bismarck, ND.. He is also survived by relatives and a host of friends and family.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (209 10th Ave, Langdon, ND 58249). A Mass was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Osnabrock Community Living Center, reflecting Dick's lifelong commitment to service, compassion, and community.
