He was predeceased by : his parents, Edwin Olson and Ruth Olson (Payne); his wife Helen Jennings; his siblings, Hazel McFarlane, Rhena Lorenz, Effie Bingenheimer, Mildred Olson, Alden, Arthur and Marten; and his daughter-in-law Sherry Olson.

He is survived by : his children, Ross Olson (Barb) of Mesa, AZ, Lee Olson (Nina) of Anchorage, AK, Scott Olson of Hayden, ID and Ramona Olson of Pine Island, MN; his grandchildren, Leif Olson (Erin), Dustin Olson (Kate), Haily Olson, Dakota Olson, Burt Merculief (Lisa), Randall David, Becky Watkins (Josh), Jennifer Olson and Adam Olson (Crystal); and his brother-in-law Robert Jennings (Myrtle). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

“To my cousins, Ross, Lee, Scott, and Ramona -- My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of you and your families in this time of loss. Uncle Ronald was the last living sibling of my father, Marten Olson. Ronald reminded me of my dad in looks and in personality. I fondly remember visits to the farm when Ron and Helen and the kids were growing up. He was a good, kind man who loved the Lord.
