It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Wippler of Lankin, North Dakota, who passed away on April 20, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Handy Lykken and Esther Lykken (Nelson); her husband Mel (Mel); and her sisters, LaVonne Hylden, Betty Webb and Helene Morstad (Candy).
She is survived by: her children, Karen Vatnsdal, Jeff Vatnsdal (Jean) and Jerry Vatnsdal (Melissa); her grandchildren, Gene Quinnett, Tylor Letzring (Katie), Blake Letzring, Melissa Vatnsdal (John Wentzlaff), Cole Vatnsdal, Courtney Vatnsdal, Gavin Vatnsdal and Emily Carr (Mitchell); and her sister Lucy Bleakley.
