It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alois Leier of Linton, North Dakota, who passed away on May 22, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Leier and Mary Leier (Schatz); his wife Magdalena "Madge" Reis; his daughter Bernadette; his son-in-law Daniel K. Baumgartner; and his siblings, Joseph, Andrew, Sebastian, Margaret, Rose and Mary.
He is survived by : his children, Bruce Leier (Judy) of Linton, ND, Terry Leier (Patty) of Marion, IA, Roberta Baumgartner of Bismarck, ND, Larry Leier (Rosalind) of Hague, ND, Paul Leier (Sheila) of Fargo, ND, Charles Leier (Joleen) of Bismarck, ND and Mark Leier (Bonnie) of Fargo, ND; his brothers, Chris Leier (Viola) of Linton, ND, Tony Leier (Alvera) of Kintyre, ND and Carl Leier (Jolene) of Columbus, OH; his siblings-in-law, Victor Wald (Barbara) of Napoleon, ND, Barbara Leier (Joe) of Braddock, ND, Angeline Geiger (Ed) of Bismarck, ND, Steve Meier, Peter Reis, Pius Reis, Ed Geiger and Barbara Wald; and his parents-in-law, Tony, Eva Huber, Peter, Helen Wickenheiser, Sebastian, Lorraine Reis, Clara Schweitzer, Jack, Theresa Dutt, Karl and Caroline Schatz. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
