With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Karen Wilke of Lisbon, North Dakota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Karen left this world on November 2, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Henry and Ruth Eleanore Carter (Lester); her husband Harlan; her children, Richard and Linda; and her siblings, Ernest Carter, Harlan Carter, Eileen Brunton, Elsie Olson and Mary Haecherl.
She is survived by: her children, David Wilke (Shawn) of Anchorage, Randy Wilke (Sue) of Helena, Montana and Renae Smith of Fargo; her sister Ruth Eberhard (Curt) of Fargo; and her sister-in-law Lois Carter of Enderlin. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Dahlstrom Funeral Home (11 Main St, Lisbon, ND 58054). A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (801 Forest St, Lisbon, ND 58054).
She was proficient in most things she enjoyed but was a Master at donating money to the Casino near Hankinson.
