He was predeceased by : his parents, Arie Schaap and Emma Schaap (Knudson); and his siblings, John, Oscar, Arlin Schaap, Lorraine LaVare, Evelyn Paine, Donna Grubb and Louise Weber.
He is survived by : his son Arie Schaap (Jennifer) of Artesia; his grandchildren, Allison and Ethan Schaap; and his siblings, Duane Schaap (Mary) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Marlene McSherry of Lake Stevens, Washington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
