She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Rygg and Florence Rygg; her husband Charles Kahl; and her brother Doug Rygg. She is survived by: her children, Lori Thrall (Mark) of Fargo, ND and Tom Kahl (Dawn) of Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Ryan Van Dyke (Pakou), Andrea LaMont (Tyler) and Logan Kahl (Maddison); and her great grandchildren, Gavin LaMont, Kinley Lamont, Mason Yang, Ariya Van Dyke and Emerson Kahl.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joy's honor to HIA Hospice - Fargo.
