He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Goetzfried and Celia Goetzfried (Stockness); his brother Richard Goetzfried; his siblings-in-law, Curtis Rud and Mercedes Plante; and his granddaughter Grace Ding.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Plante; his daughter Tina Ding (Doug); his grandchildren, Avery, Alivia and Geneva; his son Darrin (Tracey); his grandchildren, Adam, Ashley and Aliya; his siblings, Annette Rud and Darrell (Karen); and his brothers-in-law, Gary Plante, Leo Plante, Jim Plante (Lynne) and Ronnie Plante. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations toward a resting bench space to be placed at Harmon Lake – with a few shade trees, in his honor.
