Donald Eckroth Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Eckroth of Mandan, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 3, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eckroth and Angeline Eckroth (Leingang); his parents-in-law, John and Mary Ferderer; his siblings, Alex (Judy), Adam, John (Ethel), Jake (Judy), Vincent, Albert (Bernice), Valentine, Elizabeth Miller (Edward), Hildegard Miller (Albert), Genevieve Haller (Robert), Viola Klesalek (Bob), Lorraine Hatzenbeler and Mary Magdalene; and his siblings-in-law, Ralph Kuhn, Eugene Gress, Fred Cushman and Priscilla Eckroth.
He is survived by: his daughter Dori Jean of Maple Valley, WA; his wife Delanis Eckroth of Mandan; his grandsons, Dylan Lee Ost and Jake Donald Ost (Abby); his great grandchildren, Maeve and Iyla; his siblings, Rosella Kuhn and Raymond Eckroth; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Eckroth, Caroline Felson (Frank), Pauline Cushman and Gene Hatzenbeler.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Weigel Funeral Home (309 4th Ave NW, Mandan, ND 58554). A Mass was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (108 3rd St NE, Mandan, ND 58554). A burial was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at the Mandan Union Cemetery (1600 Mandan Ave, Mandan, ND 58554).
