He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Bettger and Mary Bettger (Look); his son Dennis Evener; and his sisters, Frieda, Clara, Esther and Margaret.
He is survived by: his former wife Martha Stoller of Carson, ND; his children, Duane Bettger of St. Paul, MN and Carol Anderberg of Mandan, ND; his daughter-in-law Jackie Bettger of Oakdale; and his grandchildren, Joshua Schuh of Mandan, Teresa, Jessica, Cheryl, Crystal, Allison, Amanda and John. He is also survived by many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
