She was predeceased by: her parents, John Godes and Rose Godes (Messer); her husband Wallace Feser; and her siblings, Cecilia Betchner, Adeline Weinand, Lorraine Messer, Isadore, Giles, Quentin and Al Godes.

She is survived by: her sons, Bill (Marie) of Denver and Jason (Rachel) of Alexandria, Virginia.; her grandchildren, Stuart, Sylvia, Samuel and Matilda; and her sister Patricia Johnson of Rapid City, SD. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Those wishing to remember Jan may do so in whatever manner they choose, be it monetary donations to the family, by sending flowers for the funeral service or making donations to the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan or Elm Crest Manor in New Salem.
