He was predeceased by: his parents, Luigi Ciavarella and Rose Ciavarella (Swindling); his wife Rosemary Needham (Ball); his son Blaine Ciavarella; his siblings, Katherine Bernhardt (Adam), Dorothy Weber (Ralph), Donna Miller (Leo), Anton Ciavarella (Agnes), Herman Ciavarella (Adelaide), Kenneth Ciavarella (Valerie) and Michele Ciavarella; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Ciavarella, Carol Ciavarella and Charles Needham (Lois).

He is survived by: his children, Lynda Doll (George) and Jim Ciavarella (Gloria) of Alexandria, MN.; his siblings, Cecelia Dosch (Herman) and Joseph Ciavarella; and his sister-in-law Corrinne Olson of San Leandro, CA.. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; and four step great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Spirit of Life Outreach.
