She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Ziegler and Edna Ziegler (Reiswig); her siblings, Elsie, Dorothy Wahl and Myril Ziegler; her granddaughter Elizabeth Schneibel; and her siblings-in-law, Virginia Ziegler, Elaine Appelt, Janet Ziegler, Ralph Appelt, Geraldine and John Dethloff.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Appelt; her children, Roberta Ewert (Frank) of Anamoose, Rodney Appelt (Deb) of Granville, Randy Appelt (Dawn) of Martin, Roxie Rieger (Mark) of Bismarck, Rhonda Schneibel (Dwight) of Shorewood, MN and Reed Appelt (Lisa) of Bismarck; her brother Gerald Ziegler (Evie) of Spokane Valley, WA; and her siblings-in-law, Richard Appelt of Lake Villa, IL and Julia Appelt of Tuscon, AZ.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grand-children.
Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
