He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herman Nicolaisen and Berget Nicolaisen (Iverson); his wife Cleo Steen; his children, Lisa Thompson (Jordan), Jason Nicolaisen (Brandi) and Max; his grandchildren, Tristan Thompson (Jewel), Ryan Rustad (Ali), Brennan Thompson (Allie), Braxton Thompson, Parqer Fred, Rebel Nicolaisen and Bonnie Nicolaisen; and his stepmother Olive.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas Family Funeral Home (304 Main St S, Minot, ND 58701). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (215 3rd Ave SE, Minot, ND 58701).
