She was predeceased by: her husband Arnold Schmidt; her son Stuart; her parents, Richard Kostenko and Elviva Kostenko; her brothers-in-law, Harold Newman, Tony Mann, Dennis Fredrich and George Tomlinson; and her in-laws, Elmer, Marion Schmidt, Lorraine, Edgar Schmidt and Gerald Schmidt.
She is survived by: her sons, Warren Schmidt and Kendal Schmidt (Michele); her grandson Trevor Schmidt (Lauren); her stepgrandsons, Brendan and Connor; her stepgreat-grandsons, Kellan and Sullivan; her sisters, Carolyn Nett (Don), Sharlene Fredrich, Darlene Tomlinson and Jolene Mann; and her sister-in-law Marlene Sorenson (Paul). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
