Irene Carlson Obituary

We announce the death of Irene Carlson of Maxbass, North Dakota, who passed away on August 4, 2026, at the age of 103. Irene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustav Pankow and Louise Pankow (Kraus); her husband Clarence; and her siblings, Walter, Henry, William, Arnold, Raymond, Clarence, Christine (Tena) and Clara.

She is survived by: her son Paul; her daughter-in-law Elaine Carlson; her grandchildren, Shar Marthaler (Dave) and Andrew Carlson; and her great grandchild Sam Marthaler. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church Willing Workers, Hope Forest of ND, or a charity of the donor's choice.
