He is survived by: his wife Wilma Folk; his grandchildren, Micheal Nelson, Emily Lindbo (Josh), Matthew Nelson (Ashley), Erik Nelson (Mandy) and Nick Nelson (Ashley); his great grandchildren, Broden Lindbo, Eli Nelson, Jaelyn Nelson, Nolan Nelson, Braelynn VanDolah, Lilyana Nelson, Nova Nelson and Jack Nelson; his brothers, Wayne Nelson (Sylvia) and Alfred Nelson; his sister-in-law Sandy Folk; Jill Carlucci (Mike), Bruce Nelson (Lisa) and Joel Nelson (Lori). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A prayer will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Luther Memorial Home Chapel (750 Main St E, Mayville, ND 58257). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bruflat Lutheran Church (1023 Parke Ave, Portland, ND 58274).
