He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Rindy (Raben) and William Rindy; his wife Violet Johnson; and his siblings, Howard, Bennett and Lila Braton.

He is survived by: his children, Wallace Rindy (Deborah) of Mesa, AZ, Marjorie Maetzold (Keith) of Park Rapids, MN, Duane Rindy (Sherry) of Fargo, ND, Edie Burns (Pat) of Mesa, AZ, William Rindy (Louise) of Bismarck, ND and Jennifer Nepstad (Rick) of Mayville, ND.; and his grandchildren, Wade Rindy (Traci), Craig Rindy, Stephani Rindy, Jillae Rindy, Trent Maetzold (Justine), Erin Maetzold (Alex Nisbet), Brianna McGurran (Ian), Kristina Aikens (Adam), Isaac Nepstad (Jenna) and Jacob Nepstad.
