With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lisa Henke of McVille, North Dakota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lisa left this world on May 11, 2025 at the age of 41, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her sister Kimberly Cook; her grandparents, Lewis, Majorie Shedd, Bernard and Mary Franzen; and her aunts, Lynda Shedd and Susan Richard.
She is survived by: her parents, John Franzen and LuAnn Franzen (Shedd) of Lakota, ND; her husband Matt Henke; her children, Kendra and Keaton of McVille; her siblings, Matthew Franzen (Ashley) of Devils Lake, ND and Lori Pruett (Greg) of Grand Forks, ND; her in-laws, Doug, Margaret Henke of Cando, ND, Dani Grant (Mike) of Moorhead, MN, Michael Henke (Christine) of Cavalier, ND, Mark Henke (Katie) of Grand Forks, ND, Derek Henke (Amber Guzman) of Grand Forks, ND and Dane Henke (Katie); and her nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Alex, Ben Grant, Chase, Ryder, Hutton, Hayes and Gracie Henke.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McVille Lutheran Church (112 Vail Ave, McVille, ND 58254). A prayer was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Not only did she give a better life to 3 people we know of for sure, but she was also able to donate many other organs and tissue for medical research and other applications at the very prestigious Mayo Clinic.
