He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent "Tony" Hefner and Neoma Hefner (Almaas); and his brother Gary Hefner. He is survived by: his wife Judy Bitner; his children, Jesse Hefner of Minneapolis and Zachary Hefner (Laura); his granddaughter Vada of Bismarck; and his siblings, Starla Kohler (Terry), Ron Hefner (Karen) of Sioux Falls and Doug Hefner of Sioux Falls. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
