He was predeceased by: his parents, Alec Wardner and Elizabeth "Jack" Wardner (Jorgensen); his brother Bob; his siblings-in-law, Karen Wardner and Clark Jesz; his parents-in-law, Wayne and Marion Monroe (Chase); his sister Ileen; and his brother-in-law Herb Fried.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Joy Monroe; his children, Angela Misek (Stan) and Cody Wardner (Nicole); his grandchildren, Jeremy Misek (Marissa), Royce Wardner and Henry Wardner; his great grandchildren, Revere, Pierson and Haven Misek; his siblings, Richard Wardner (Kayleen), Ron Wardner (Susan), Bev Jesz and Pat; and his sister-in-law Bev Monroe. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church. A prayer will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:15 AM at the Hillside Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at the Wardner House.
