He was predeceased by : his parents, Nettie Barney (Johnson) and George Charles Barney; his siblings, Charlotte Skaggs (George) and LeVerne Barney; and his sons, Michael Barney and David Barney.
He is survived by : his wife Charlotte Bonde; his children, Lance Barney (Georgette), Paul Barney and Kathleen Barney; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Barney; and his sister Beverly Swanson. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many close family friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Michigan Cemetery, the Michigan Fire Department, or the Michigan Ambulance Service.
