Carolyn leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Carolyn’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Carolyn will carry forward her memory in their hearts.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Knowles and Mary Knowles; and her brother Ralph Knowles. She is survived by: her husband Orvin; her sons, Erik Lommen (Sara) and David Lommen (Lisa); her grandson Oliver Lommen; and her brother David Knowles. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (1800 Hiawatha St SE, Minot, ND 58701). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
