He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Rein and Clara Rein (Notch). He is survived by: his sister-in-law Cora Rein of White Oak, PA; his sibling's children, Ramona Rein of White Oak, PA, Monica Rein-Botti of East Boothbay, ME and Richard Rein of Evergreen, CO; and his cousin Kim Jacobson of Pocatello, ID..

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Life Lutheran Church (1415 17th Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials are preferred to The Parkinsons Foundation or All Saints Episcopal Church Soup Kitchen.
