He was predeceased by: his father Robert Mahoney; and his sister Colleen Mahoney. He is survived by: his mother Joan Mahoney (Erb); his wife Nancy Thompson; his children, Robert "Bob" Mahoney (Samantha), Heather Mahoney, Jennifer Forbes (Jeff), Tylo Mahoney, Alaynee Thompson and Alexis Craig; his sisters, Renee Zerr (Jerry) and Darla Butler (Mike); and his grandchildren, Emerson Forbes, Carter Kaul, Cadence Mahoney, Owen Mahoney, Camilla Mahoney, Benjamin Mahoney, Samiarah Armstrong, Temperance Armstrong, Lucius Pacheco and Troy Waldo. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home (21 3rd Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701).
