He was predeceased by : his wife Marilyn Bailey; his daughter Michelle; and his parents, Orville and Lillian. He is survived by : his sons, Brian and James Hagen (Kim); his grandchildren, Nathan, Kyle (Sothy), Casey, Kristin and Cody (Tayla); his great grandchildren, Carter, Easton, Karina, Ruslan, Anna and Oaklynn; and his sister Marlene Brucklacher (Ervin). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Springan Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel (120 12th Ave SE, Stanley, ND 58784). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
