The memory of Gary A. Christenson (Minot, North Dakota), who passed away on June 12, 2025 at the age of 71, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his mother Barbara Christenson; his sister Barbara Gene Christenson; his grandparents, Andrew, Anna Christenson, Gerhardt and Gerta Skarstad; his parents-in-law, Irven and Carol Rostad; his aunts and uncles, Melbourne (Alma Christenson), Donald Christenson, Marvin (Alida Christenson), Thelma (Glenn Hillig) and Norman Skarstad; his cousin Paul; and his aunts and uncles, Cameron Skarstad and Rodney Anderson.
He is survived by: his stepson Andrew Gordon Christenson; his wife Edith Rostad; his father Gordon O. Christenson; his brother-in-law Scott Rostad (Cindy Cooper); his aunt Sharon Anderson (Brian); and his uncle Gayle Skarstad (Deborah).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thompson - Larson Funeral Home (21 3rd Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (120 5th Ave NW, Minot, ND 58703). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Nordland Cemetery (10447 16th Ave NE, Bottineau, ND 58318).
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Carpio Cemetery Association or First Lutheran Church.
