He was predeceased by: his parents, Maribelle Summerfield (Peterson) and George Summerfield; his brothers, Peter and Dale; his nephew Peter Summerfield; and his parents-in-law, Vance and Ethel Gowdy.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Gowdy; his children, Lane (Donna) and Carrie (Shawn); and his grandchildren, Dylan (Courtney Berry), Jack and Andie. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The Parkinson's Association or Caring Edge Hospice.
