He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Dunkel and Selma Dunkel (Hanson); his wife Jean; and his siblings, Gloria, Barb, Leroy and Gary.
He is survived by: his children, Glen Jr. (Joan) of Max, Roger of Mandan, Mike (Mary) of Warroad, Minnesota, Bobbi Arneson (Ken) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin and Sheri Hardy (Scott) of Bismarck; and his siblings, Ann Gulbranson of Minot, Linda Wallace of Havre, Montana, Henry of Zap and Bill of Minot. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Souris Valley Animal Shelter or the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
