It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Pitner (Minot, North Dakota), who passed away on June 6, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Pitner and Regina Pitner (Susak); his siblings, Joan Lund, Daniel Pitner, Lawrence Pitner and Judith Pitner; his siblings-in-law, Peter Kraft, Donald Lund, George Fix, Jr. and Jackie Pitner; his father-in-law George Fix Sr.; his nephews, Lawrence John Pitner and Mark Gilpin; and his niece Lori Kampert.
He is survived by: his wife Irene (Fix); his children, John (Heather), Angela Bradley (Kent) of Rapid City, SD, Jennifer Jundt (Mark) of Orono, MN, Matthew Pitner of North Hollywood, CA, David Pitner (Karalyn) of Norwich, ND, Paul Pitner (Heidi) of Minot, ND, Maria Plese (Leo) of East Bethel, MN, Christopher Pitner of North Hollywood, CA, Anthony Pitner Inver and Sarah Merck (Mason) of Minot, ND; his siblings, Gladys Kraft of Norwich, ND, Joyce Bean of Kansas City, MO and Joseph Pitner of Towner, ND; his mother-in-law Helen Fix of Minot, ND; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Pitner of Minot, ND, Frances Mayer (Kevin) of Casselton, ND and Philomena Koapke (Al) of Surrey, ND. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 1 grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
